TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
The main focus at Running to Lift is helping clients safely and effectively reach their fitness goals by implementing science-based practices. All programs are customized to fit the individual's lifestyle, interests, and goals.

Rather than focusing on only one aspect of fitness, it is important to utilize strength, speed, balance, and flexibility in unison to have you feeling and looking your best.

There are no false promises or quick fixes, but our satisfied clients have experienced the difference that effective programming and a dedicated trainer can make.

Isma'il has had a lifelong passion for fitness that started with childhood sports and continued throughout playing college football. After regularly hitting the weight room in his teens, he noticed how much better he felt and performed both on and off the field. Coupled with the satisfaction he got from helping others come to the same realization, he knew his future would be in fitness.
Isma'il became a certified personal trainer in 2019, but wanted to further his knowledge of how the body responds to exercise in order to better help his clients. He decided to learn more by majoring in exercise science and graduated summa cum laude with his A.S. and is now working on his B.S. at Rutger’s University.
His favorite form of training is powerlifting, but also enjoys running, especially through nearby Liberty State Park. He has competed in local races with the New York Road Runners and is currently training for the NYC Marathon.
Outside of the gym, Isma'il loves hiking with his black lab Luna, going to see live music, and checking out craft breweries.
